TikTok LIVE Studio
TikTok LIVE Studio download: where to get it safely
TikTok LIVE Studio is TikTok’s own free app for streaming from a computer. There is exactly one safe place to download it: TikTok’s official website. Here is where that is, who can use it, what to do when it says LIVE Studio is not available, and how to put gifts, follows and goals on screen once it runs.
The only safe download is TikTok’s own
Download LIVE Studio from TikTok’s official page and nowhere else. Copies on download sites, in Discord servers or in video descriptions can be outdated or carry malware — and you log into them with your TikTok account. TokElements does not offer the download either; we link to TikTok.
Download and set up in four steps
1 · Open TikTok’s download page
On your computer, open tiktok.com/studio/download in a browser and choose the download for your system.
2 · Install and log in
Run the installer and log in with the TikTok account you stream from — inside LIVE Studio itself, never on a third-party site.
3 · Add your scene
Add your camera, a game or your screen as sources, and choose the vertical or horizontal layout you stream in.
4 · Go live
Press Go LIVE. If the button is missing or greyed out, your account does not have LIVE access yet — see below.
Who can use TikTok LIVE Studio
LIVE access on your account
LIVE Studio only streams for accounts that can go LIVE. TikTok usually unlocks that at around 1,000 followers; the exact rule varies by country and account.
18 or older
TikTok LIVE is for adult accounts. The birth date on your account decides it.
A computer
LIVE Studio is a desktop app. On a phone you go live from the TikTok app instead.
“LIVE Studio is not available”: what it means
When LIVE Studio opens but will not let you stream, it is almost always the account, not the app.
No LIVE access yet
Below the follower threshold there is nothing to unlock in the app. Grow the account, or check whether TikTok offers LIVE access through a creator agency in your country.
Not offered in your region
TikTok rolls LIVE Studio out country by country. If it is not offered where you are, OBS with a stream key is the other route — if your account has a key.
A restriction on the account
A recent violation can pause LIVE for a while. TikTok shows it under your account’s status; it lifts on its own.
Once it runs: put your gifts on screen
LIVE Studio streams your camera and your game, but not your gifts, follows and chat as graphics. TokElements adds that layer — gift alerts, goals, leaderboards, chat and games — as one Link source in LIVE Studio. Free, nothing else to download, no TikTok password.
Questions
Where can I download TikTok LIVE Studio?
Only from TikTok’s official page, tiktok.com/studio/download. Do not install copies from download sites or links in comments: you log into LIVE Studio with your TikTok account.
Is TikTok LIVE Studio free?
Yes. LIVE Studio is TikTok’s own app and costs nothing. What it does not include is an overlay layer for gifts and goals — that is what tools like TokElements add.
Why does LIVE Studio say it is not available?
Usually because the account has no LIVE access yet (about 1,000 followers and 18 or older), or because LIVE Studio is not offered in your country yet. Reinstalling does not change either.
Is there TikTok LIVE Studio for Mac?
Check TikTok’s download page for the systems it currently offers. If your system is not listed, OBS runs on Windows and Mac and streams to TikTok with a stream key.
Can TokElements give me the download or LIVE access?
No. Only TikTok decides who can go LIVE, and only TikTok distributes LIVE Studio. TokElements is an independent overlay tool you add once LIVE Studio runs.
LIVE Studio installed? Make it look like your stream.
A free overlay with gift alerts, goals and games — one link into LIVE Studio.
